Support John Richards' Recovery Journey

Hi everyone,

My name is Jim Hoar, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dear friend and coworker, John Richards. Many of you may know John as an active and kind-hearted member of the Merrimack community, where he’s lived for 30 years. Unfortunately, John recently underwent a below-knee amputation on his left foot after a severe infection spread into the bone.

This life-changing event has been a challenging and emotional journey for John, but if you know him, you know he’s a fighter. John is determined to regain as much of his normal life as possible and return to the activities he loves—gardening, cooking, and building birdhouses. These aren’t just hobbies for John—they are his passions, his way of finding joy, and his way of giving back to his community.

John has been a source of kindness and support to so many, myself included. When we worked side by side, he was always there to answer my questions, guide me through tough days, and make the workplace feel like a true team. Now, it’s our turn to help him.

We’re raising funds to cover the significant medical expenses, prosthetics, rehabilitation, and any additional costs John faces on his road to recovery. Every dollar raised will help ease the financial burden so John can focus on healing and adapting to this new chapter in his life.
