Support John Bell: Vietnam Vet Needs Our Help
Donation protected
John Bell is a proud Vietnam War veteran who served with honor and dedication, sacrificing so much for our country. Over the years, he has been a quiet part of his community of Mondamin, Iowa, but is known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether it was driving neighbors to medical appointments or offering support in tough times, John has always been there—never asking for anything in return.
But now, at 79 years old, John is the one who needs help.
A Devastating Loss
During the historic blizzard that crippled Harrison County, John lost everything when a tragic fire destroyed his home. The fire is believed to have been caused by a small stove he was using to stay warm during the storm during the extended power outages. Now his house and all of his belongings are gone.
John escaped with his life and his dog baby, but he now faces the heartbreaking reality of starting over with nothing—no home, no possessions, and he and baby are now staying in a hotel with no long-term solution.
How You Can Help
John has always been there for others, and now it's our turn to be there for him. We are raising funds to help him rebuild his life, covering essential expenses such as:
Temporary housing & basic necessities
Clothing, food, and dog supplies
Rebuilding or securing permanent housing
No donation is too small—every dollar makes a difference. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help.
John has spent his life serving his country and his community. Let’s show him that his kindness and sacrifices have not been forgotten.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Cover Photo is not John. Unfortunately, he lost all photos in the fire.
