Support Jonathan's Urgent Heart Surgery

Donation protected
I am Alysia Alexander . My family and I are all fighters . Those of you who know me , know the deep stories and tragedies that has been part of our family . It has been a trying decade for us all . We find strength in our family and friends whom have been there to see us through , raise us up and make us stronger . At one of the hardest times in our families history a man came into our lives , Jonathan , and while we were all dealing with over bearing emotions and strife , he picked up the pieces we was not able to handle at that time , and selflessly ( after only being a part of the family a few short months ) did things and took care of things none of us would have been able to do even on our best days. Like all families it has not been perfect every damn day of our lives . Yet we struggle , fight , rise above all obstacles and have a life that all families want . Jonathan has always been there for every single person in my family and now , well I guess its his chance to struggle and fight his fight.
Jonathan has a heart birth defect that went unchecked and unknown for the first 45 years of his life. He had always been told that he had a heart murmur , and it was nothing to be alarmed about. Modern medicine has come along way , we recently found out that Jonathan has what is called an Aortic Bi-cuspid valve. A hereditary birth defect. This valve , they told us would at some day need to be replaced , yet not until he was in his lates 60s or 70s. This is not the case , as this Aortic Valve defect has caused an Aortic Aneurysm which has in turn caused artery issues in his heart that has to be fixed sooner rather then later . What was going to be just a valve replacement surgery in his 60s or 70s , has become a valve replacement surgery , with an Aortic aneurysm repair and , at the same time , a coronary Bi-Pass , at the age of 50. This is scheduled to be a 10 hour heart surgery on October 14th , one week from today.
He is self employed , and well , never really expected or prepared for such a life changing , life altering medical situation. Even with the best jobs and best benefits , are any of us really prepared for such a thing.
He has expressed he wants zero sympathy , and wants to just make sure that , on the off chance this surgery goes south and he does not wake up , that the things the family needs done to make it through the winter , projects and task needed to be finished at home , that is all he wants and wishes. That the family will be okay and things have been taken care of and no one has to finish or worry about the things he started.
We all know in our hearts that he will wake up and refuse to hear any thing other then that . So our goal is to help him now , make sure the simple things he has in his life financially are not a worry to him while he is recovering for 12 weeks. He has always been there for this family and we will be there for him , and while he may be to proud to ask for help , we will do it for him , and see if we can make life a bit easier , pick up some pieces he cant at this time , as he did for us at one of the hardest times in our families history.
