Support Jon Farmer’s Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer

No one can ever be prepared to hear the words “You have Cancer”. But on August 6, 2024, that is exactly what doctors said. Jon was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer.

Many of you know Andrea and her fiancé Jon from their deep involvement in our sports communities. After more than 6 years together they are a formidable team for their families and our youth sports community.

Jon took on his first coaching job as a senior in high school. This first encounter ensured that coaching was in his blood! Jon has touched the lives of so many of the kids in our community as a coach. He has been a part of Greater Haverhill Pentucket youth hockey for over 13 years, 5 years with the Londonderry Rec & Travel Baseball teams, coaching Jr Lancers and Redwings, LBC Rec Basketball, and many different sports at the YMCA. Jon has successfully coached travel baseball/little league teams from Haverhill Riverside Bradford youth teams all the way to Cooperstown.

Jon is a small business owner of Motortown Napa Auto Parts in Amesbury and Seabrook, the proud father of his own 4 children, a stepfather to 1 and a father figure to so many of the kids on his teams.

Currently they are battling not only his cancer treatments and insurance companies but also the loss of work as a small business owner. They are 2/3 thru radiation treatments and will begin chemo after that. As you can imagine, this all adds up quickly. We are seeking to give Jon and Andrea one smaller battle when it comes to these expenses.

Jon and Andrea have been there for our kids. Now it is our turn to step up and show up for them.
