*NOTE: This campaign has had donations paused and gofundme is supposed to fix it, but i don't know when that will happen. Search "Support Jordan, Anita & Kenzie Karst 2" to donate more.*
Recently, Jordan, Anita & Kenzie Karst were given the unwelcome news that Jordan will require chemotherapy and radiation therapy to eliminate some uninvited guests in his lungs and glutes. Initially, the treatment is expected to last about a year. They need support from their community of friends and family.
Obviously, this presents a serious financial challenge for the Karst family who is already experiencing reduced income resulting from COVID-19 and now Jordan cannot work. The situation is only made worse because Jordan is now at high risk of the fatal effects of COVID-19 and the resulting burden of required self isolation to avoid it.
We've set the goal of this gofundme to be $25,000, but we expect the Karst family will need more than that to reach the other side of this tragic circumstance.
Also please share / e-mail the link so that everyone in your immediate circle of contacts who have a relationship to the Karst family know about this and have the opportunity to contribute.
We thank God and are blessed to have Jordan in our lives. We're desperate to prop him and his family up and give them every ounce of strength that they will need in the coming year to ensure Jordan has to suffer our company for many more.
Here is the narrative that Jordan published on Facebook if you haven't seen it:
"Back in October I started getting some pain in my hip. I got in Xrays and ultra sounds with nothing found. MRI was needed but a year out. So we had a long wait time a head of us.
About 6 weeks ago I got a minor cold. A few weeks ago that cough got worse and started to get restricted breathing. (Oh oh)So, went for COVID testing and some chest X-rays to make sure everything is ok.
Turns out everything is not ok. They found a bunch of nodules in my lung and some fluid build up. Urgent need to go to the hospital to get a CT scan.
CT scan revealed a tumour in my hip and lesions all over my lungs. In amazing turn around and speed by the hospital and staff we got most of my testing and results completed. I was able to stay at the hospital and get a broncoscopy done on my lungs and a biopsy done on my glutes.
Biopsy results shows that it is a “small cell sarcoma” that all originated in the hip and metastasized to the lungs (better that way then the other)"
We love you, Jordan, Anita & Kenzie!
