Please help set Jordan up for independence post release
Donation protected
As many of you will know, my bother, Jordan, has not had an easy time of things having been born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) and having lived a life of physical and psychological disability, behavioral health problems, and poor decision making. He is being released from prison on August 9 and I am scrambling to do my best to set him up with the best possible chance for short-term survival and success until he is better able to fend for himself. This will of course involve some expenses and so, reluctantly, I am asking for any friends or family members who feel inclined to please consider a small donation in support of some of the direct costs that we will face on day one of being released. Below are some of the things he will need before his Social Security Disability kicks in, and I will be insisting that he works day labor jobs immediately to begin good habits and self-support. It is difficult for me to ask for help but Jordan and I will feel beyond thankful and blessed for any small contribution that can help at this difficult time. Any small contributions to the overall goal of $950 will help me to pay for the following (but any other types of donations that you are able to spare would also be so greatly appreciated too):
Rent at group home facility (“halfway house”) $660
Used bicycle for transport to day labor work $60
One week of food/groceries: $60
Basic clothing and footwear from Walmart/Goodwill $90
Basic personal hygiene items and products $20
Basic Tracfone prepaid phone for contact with day labor and probation officer: $20 + $40 prepaid credit
