Joseph Bray, a dedicated 20-year firefighter and 2-year Navy veteran, faces a challenging journey after a series of serious health issues. This past month in the hospital has been life-changing; a wake-up call that revealed troubling symptoms led to extensive medical care, including a medical coma, multiple blood transfusions, and kidney biopsies. Diagnosed with lupus affecting his lungs and kidneys, a urinary tract infection, and cancer, Joseph now finds himself unable to work for at least 5 months. Despite his determination to manage bills and medications on his own, the burden has become overwhelming.
