In loving memory of Joseph Kim

In loving memory of Joseph Kim, who was sadly taken from this world at the tender age of 37 on July 24th, 2023. He bravely fought as hard as he could during his short and sudden 54-day battle with testicular cancer. He leaves behind his soulmate and wife, Gina, and their precious 1 year old daughter, Eden. He was the most devoted and loving husband and father and this has been the most devastating and unthinkable period for his family.
He was the kindest and purest soul who left an everlasting impression on everyone he met. After graduating from the United States Military Academy in 2008, he spent a year deployed in Iraq and further served in Fort Hood, TX. Even following his military career, he continued to live in service to others and constantly helped his neighbors, friends, and strangers alike. His passing is an incredible loss to anyone who knew and loved him. Words cannot express the huge void he has left in everyone's hearts, especially his wife and baby. Any contributions will help them directly as they navigate their future while grieving his loss. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for his family during this difficult time.

Our dear friend Joseph suddenly became very ill and was diagnosed with late stage testicular cancer on June 1st. He had previously served as a captain in the Army and was the picture of health so this news was very shocking to receive. At only 37 years old, the aggressive form of cancer had unfortunately already spread to his stomach, lungs, and lymph nodes. He had been scheduled to begin outpatient chemo a couple of weeks later, but before he could start he was hospitalized on June 10th. He started experiencing respiratory failure and had difficulty breathing so he was soon transferred to the ICU, where he remains today. Compounded by catching pneumonia and secondary infections, he is now being supported on a ventilator. While hospitalized, he received the first cycle of chemo and will soon start the second cycle while on the ventilator.
This has been an incredibly traumatic and difficult month for Joseph's wife, Gina, and their baby girl, Eden. Joseph has a very long journey ahead and we wanted to start this Go Fund Me to help off-set some of his impending medical expenses. Joseph is the sole income for their family and Gina is currently caring for their one and a half year old daughter while navigating this nightmare.
Any of you who know Joseph have seen his heart of gold first hand. He is the kindest and most caring husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend. He is the type of person to always put others before himself, and he never hesitates to lend a helping hand to those who need it. Let’s take this opportunity to help support Joseph during this challenging time. Any amount you can donate is much appreciated!
