Support Joseph Ramos' Legacy and His Children
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Joseph A. Ramos, a beloved father, teacher, mentor, and friend. Joe was an extraordinary human being who touched countless lives with his kindness, creativity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Now, as his family navigates this profound loss, we come together to lift them up and honor his legacy. I am starting this campaign to assist his two children during this difficult time, but to also donate a portion of it to the Joseph Ramos Memorial Fund at the high school. I will let Joe II (his son) decide how he wishes to use the funds.
Please watch this video I made to hear about Mr. Ramos, and his son, Joe, and how they impacted my life.
A Life Dedicated to Inspiring Others
Joseph Ramos, 48, was a pioneer in the field of STEM education and a passionate advocate for creativity and innovation. For 25 years, he taught Engineering Design at Somerset Berkley Regional High School, where he became more than just a teacher—he became the heart of the school. Known for his quirky jokes, hands-on teaching style, and encouraging words, Joe inspired his students to think beyond the books and embrace what was possible.
“Close the books and open your minds,” he would say. I will carry his frequent words "Anything is possible" with me for the rest of my life.
Joe’s legacy lives on through the countless students he empowered, many of whom credit him for their confidence and success. He was a builder of dreams, a mentor who always gave the "greenlight" to explore, and a father figure to all his students.
A Devoted Father and Community Pillar
Above all, Joe was a family man. He was a steadfast supporter of his two children, Jordan and Joseph II, never missing an event or opportunity to cheer them on. He cultivated their ambition, instilled in them a deep love of learning, and showed them the true meaning of resilience and compassion.
Beyond his family, Joe’s influence extended into his community. From creating the Butterfly Ice Skating Pond to running STEM summer programs, he continuously gave back in creative and meaningful ways. His warmth and energy were infectious, and his legacy is one of generosity, innovation, and love.
A Time to Give Back
Joe’s untimely passing has left his family, especially his children, grappling with unimaginable grief, particularly during the holiday season. His son recently spoke of his dad’s impact, sharing heartfelt words that moved all who knew Joe:
“Who’s going to tell me that anything is possible? Who’s going to love me the way he did? My dad always took care of me, and now I have to figure out how to carry on without him.”

Celebrating Joe’s Legacy
Mr. Ramos’s impact was profound—he taught us to see the engineer within ourselves, to find joy in the small things, and to always work hard, no matter the task. He exemplified humility and perseverance, and he showed us that nothing is below us when it’s done with pride and purpose.
His children, Jordan and Joseph, carry his legacy forward, and as a community, we can help them as they begin to navigate life without him. Together, let’s show them the love and support that Joe gave so freely to others.
Thank You for Your Support
We are deeply grateful for any support you can provide, whether through a donation or simply sharing this campaign. Joe’s son said it best: “Turn to the person next to you, give them a hug, and tell them you love them.” Let’s honor Joe by lifting up his family during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for helping us keep Joe’s memory alive and ensuring his family feels the strength of a community that truly cared for him.
