Support Joseph Whitefield's Final Journey Home

- On Tuesday September 4, 2024 the good Lord called my 37 year old brother home to be with him. My brother Joseph Ryan Whitefield had been living in New York bouncing from friend to friend's houses, but that to ended, and he became homeless on the streets of New York. Having to bum and beg his way in to something to eat, but then in 2018 he got himself in to some trouble, and ended up going to prison for a little less than 2 years. While he was in prison he reclaimed his relationship with God, and decided he was going to get clean, and work for the Lord, and by the time he was released from prison he was back strong in his faith, and the Lord blessed him by opening the doors to a halfway house for my brother to go live in, and work a drug program. However after being there for nearly 6 months he and a staff member have an argument, and they kick him out,but he doesn't give up on his faith. He willingly goes back to jail, and patiently waits for a bed to open at a new halfway house. Eventually he gets a bed there, and is back doing great. He had 46 days left, and they were going to let him finally come back home to Tennessee, but instead he has a medical episode around 4 A.M. on Tuesday September 4th, and received life saving medical treatment until a little after 6 A.M. , but they were unable to save him. That being said this is the reason behind me setting this page up, and asking for your guys help. As I've already stated earlier he passed away in New York, and DOES NOT have ANY family up there, so it's our responsibility to figure out how to get his body home, and have a funeral for him. The final cost of everything after bringing him back from New York, and then having a funeral for him is going to cost me and my family nearly $10,000. They've already released his body in New York, so now they're just waiting on us to have him picked up, and transferred to Tennessee, but there's NO WAY my family can swing that kind of money on our own. We desperately need your guys help. Anything will be helpful, and greatly appreciated. I thank all of y'all that took the time to read this whether you donated or not. I do hope all of that aren't able to donate will at least share this on your page, and to everyone who was able to donate I thank you immensely, and because of people like you this world is a better place, and when it's your time to go home to the Lord I have no doubt he already has prepared for you a mansion along the streets of gold. Thank all of you kindly for taking the time to check this out, and please if you're able please help my brother get home. God bless you, and have a great day.
