Support Joshua and Tina After Sudden Loss

Hi, my name is Joshua Smothers. I am running this fundraiser with my mom, Tina Almond. My dad, on September 13th, passed away. He fell to the ground and we called 911. They took him to the emergency room and they think he died from a cardiac arrest. The doctors are doing an autopsy to see. His death was sudden and unexpected. We were not ready for it at all. We were watching a movie, laughing just before this happened, and it has broken our hearts. Trying to process this has been one of the hardest things we have ever done. We would absolutely love to give him the funeral he deserves, but unfortunately, we don't have the funds to do anything.

The couple of weeks before my dad passed, he got COVID and had to take off work. He was a truck driver and could not drive during that time. We used all our resources to survive. We fell behind on bills and everything else during that time. My mom, Tina Almond, has a lot of medical issues herself: strokes, seizures, colon issues, and more. So I stay at home to take care of her. My dad was our only source of income. We have no idea what to do from here or how we are even going to pay our rent. We live in a hotel that charges us by the week. Between medical bills, rent, car, phone, food, and my dad's funeral costs and more, we are extremely lost and worried about what to do.

But first, we need to take care of my dad and his funeral expenses. We miss him dearly and want to give him the love he deserves.
