Ignite Josiah’s Goal For Oregon Junior Olympics!

Update: He is in Oregon! Thank You!

UPDATE: He is scheduled to run the first round on Thursday afternoon. We are making progress but still need help. Unfortunately, hotel and air prices increase whenever USATF or AAU comes to a city and they keep going up. Oregon is no different. It’s a 22 hour hour drive or I’d be on the road but I do this all alone. He had a growth spurt which caused knee pain earlier in the season and the 3x a week physical therapy for 6 months, orthopedic doctor expenses and MRI was something I didn’t budget for.

Please Support Si.

All he wants to do is run and leave it on the track.
And, add more autographs to his collection from the track superstars who show up and show out for these talented youth.

Introducing Josiah, the current fastest 15-year-old athlete in USATF Region 10. With a recorded time of 11.17, he is actively pursuing a 10.9 finish, and we have high hopes for his success in Oregon.

We kindly request your support for his journey.

Josiah's exceptional achievements include breaking records for his club team in both the 100 and 200 meters. This is no small feat, especially considering the team's impressive 30 year history. It is worth mentioning that he represents a team known for producing track state champions and accomplished collegiate athletes, indicating his positive development and alignment with talented individuals.

Both Josiah's club and high school teams prioritize not only athletic success but also the nurturing of character and the pursuit of academic excellence. It is evident that he is surrounded by a supportive environment that fosters both personal growth and speed.

As Josiah continues to ascend through the ranks, he shows immense potential to achieve remarkable feats in the future. We appreciate your consideration and support for this promising young athlete.

It feels unreal, as he has posted personal best records throughout his track journey, which began less than two years ago. His raw talent is apparent and he understands his gift requires hard work, patience and consistency.

Josiah has one last USATF meet in 2023 to catch the 10.9 time he is chasing and have a bit of fun with his club team and the coaches who make it all possible.

Your contribution will directly impact Josiah's ability to attend and compete in the USATF 2023 Junior Olympics. It’s been a long dual season and quite the journey and I hope you can help so he is able to finish it out strong.

2023 High School Season Best Moment: Being invited to compete at Chandler Rotary at 14 years old was a remarkable achievement, as it demonstrates that he is already being recognized as a rising star in the track and field community.

Competing as a D1 high school track varsity freshman speaks volumes about his mental toughness and maturity. As Josiah enters his sophomore year in 2024, there is no doubt that his track season will be eagerly anticipated by both his teammates and competitors.

In return for your support, Josiah has committed to:
  • Stay focused on his nationals training and make sure he is giving it his all.
  • Listen to his coaches and teammates and take their advice.
  • Stay positive and believe in himself.
  • Enjoy the experience and have fun!

I wish all of the athletes competing in the Junior Olympic Nationals the best of luck. It is an amazing opportunity, and I am sure they will all do great things.
