Support Joy's Journey to the US

My name is Natacha, and I am reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea to help me reunite with my beloved dog, Joy. Joy is an 8-year-old Terrier Mix who has been my steadfast companion since he was just 45 days old. He is not just a pet; he is my family, my confidant, and my unwavering source of love and loyalty.

From the moment Joy entered my life, he has brought immense joy and comfort. His playful antics, loyal companionship, and boundless love have been a constant source of happiness. For eight wonderful years, Joy has stood by my side through thick and thin, providing solace and support. The thought of leaving him behind was unbearable, which is why I am determined to bring him with me as I move to the United States.

Moving with Joy, however, has proven to be an incredibly daunting task. The state of Florida, where I am relocating, has stringent laws and restrictions regarding certain breeds, including Terrier mixes like Joy.

Additionally, the process of moving a pet from a high-risk country to the U.S. involves numerous complex and costly requirements, such as:

-Cargo Flight: Ensuring Joy's safe and comfortable travel. (US$900)

-Crate and Accessories: Providing a secure and suitable crate IATA approved for the journey. (US$250)

-Customs Broker: Navigating the intricate customs clearance process plus the taxes. (US$600)

-PetLimo Health and Rabies Examination at MIA International Airport: Ensuring Joy meets all health requirements, and US issued vaccine. (US$1,300 to US$3,300 depending on dog's arrival and their parameters.)

-Veterinary Documents and Certifications: Compiling necessary veterinary records. (US$100)

-Rabies Titer and Microchip: Ensuring Joy is up-to-date with vaccinations with a Titer from a US authorized laboratory and ISO compatible microchip identification. (US$500)

-CDC Importation Forms per Pet Travel Agency: Online CDC permit filled by a Pet Travel Agency. (US$100).

These requirements are not only extensive but also come with a significant financial burden. Despite my initial doubts and the overwhelming nature of the process, I realized that I could not imagine my life without Joy. I briefly considered finding him a new home, but the bond we share is too deep to break. Joy has been with me all his life, and I am committed to keeping him by my side.

This is where I need your support. The costs associated with Joy's move are substantial, and I am seeking assistance to cover these expenses. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to being reunited.
