Help Support JP Riley's Battle Against Meningioma

My name is Lisa Dawson, and I am honored to manage this GoFundMe campaign for my longtime friend from middle school, JP Riley, a talented artist and drummer in a band based in Los Angeles. Today, I reach out to you with a heavy heart, as JP has been diagnosed with a brain tumor called a meningioma, a very aggressive form of brain cancer.

Following a period of a 5-month-long remission after a complicated procedure in 2024, the metastatic focal lesion has returned to the exact location in his brain. It is currently 3 mm in size (the last meningioma removed was 27 mm at the time of the surgical procedure).

JP is currently undergoing chemotherapy. His doctors have given him a life expectancy of just 2-3 years if his chemotherapy treatments are ineffective and/or if he cannot undergo surgery again to remove the tumor.

At just 45 years old, JP is a dedicated father, a loyal friend, and an inspiring individual who has touched the lives of many. He has always been there for those in need, and now it's our turn to support him in this challenging time. The necessary surgery to remove the tumor is life-saving, but it comes with significant medical expenses that are overwhelming for him and his family.

We seek your help raising funds for JP’s surgery, associated medical costs, and expenses he incurs while being unable to work during his chemotherapy treatments. The surgery alone is $160,000, which is JP's copay. This surgery can only be accomplished by a handful of neurosurgeons worldwide. Every dollar counts and will make a difference in his fight against this disease. Your generosity will help cover medical expenses and give JP peace of mind so that he can focus on his recovery.

All donations will go toward his medical expenses, treatment costs, rehabilitation, living costs, and everyday needs as he continues this journey toward recovery.
