Supporting JT Clark in His Fight Against Cancer
So many people have reached out with a desire to help. We are grateful for this expression of love and support for JT and our family. We have decided to create a GoFundMe on Jon Thomas Clark’s behalf to provide a convenient and shareable channel for people to donate in support of JT.
It is with a heavy heart that I share that my little brother, JT Clark, has recently received the diagnosis of Stage 4 Extraskeletal Myxoid Chondrosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer.
While undergoing a CT scan post-kidney stone in November, doctors discovered a tumor on his body and nodules in his lungs. He was referred to the Mayo Clinic in December for further scans, testing, and a biopsy. In January, JT returned to Mayo Clinic where results confirmed cancer that had metastasized to his lungs. He underwent further scans to help decide the best course of treatment.
This was scary and devastating news, bringing shock and uncertainty to JT and all who love him. JT is a humble and kind person with a quick wit, who is always willing to lend a hand. He is a dedicated father of three beautiful children (daughters Avery 20 and Maari 17, and son Gunar 13). He is a committed employee of Park Rapids Schools, a supportive friend, and an all-around amazing human. With our help, he will not face this disease alone, but with the courage and determination that support provides.
The road ahead will be difficult. In addition to the physical, mental, and emotional challenges of this disease, expenses, and treatments associated with cancer are significant. JT will undergo several weeks of radiation and surgery on the primary tumor with a lengthy recovery time. His lungs will continue to be monitored in the hopes they remain stable. If not, a treatment option will be decided upon.
How Can You Help?
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in supporting JT and his family. Your generosity will help cover medical bills and other costs related to his treatments in Rochester, Minnesota, alleviate financial stress, and allow JT and his family to focus on what matters most, his healing and recovery.
Beyond financial support, please consider helping to spread the word by sharing this campaign link with your friends, family, and on social media.
Thank you for your compassion and support of my little brother.
