Hi, this is my wife, Judith Bradford. I'm her husband, Christopher Gouldie, and I love her very much.
Unfortunately, Judith has been recently diagnosed with late-stage cancer. We are not sure what kind, except that it has metastasized in at least two of her lymph nodes. We had a PET scan today, and we'll find out the final results soon (where it started, how far it has spread, etc).
I'm currently unemployed but very much seeking work. If I find a job during this fundraiser, I will take down this fundraiser immediately, and once my position is secure, I will refund all donors. Along these lines, if you know anyone looking for a senior backend developer, principal engineer, or lead engineer (specializing in .Net), please do send inquiries my way (contact me through this gofundme page, gofundme does not want me to share my email address).
We are very fortunate that the vast majority of her hospital bills are covered by Map services here in Austin, paid for by our property taxes. So we don't need help with those, but we do need help to pay our property taxes and bills. In order to keep her coverage, we must continue to reside in Travis county (and of course moving or becoming homeless right now would be a rather significant burden). We have pared down all of our bills other than the most essential, and we're still falling short (gas, electric, phone, internet, and ad-supported Netflix for $7 a month).
So we owe $5000 in property taxes, and we need money to pay our bills and eat. I really hate asking for help. I've never done this before. Our family members with the least amount of resources have been the most helpful, but they've already helped us to the extent that they can.
Anything you can give will help us. I currently have a very small amount of money in my bank account, a little bit more than the bank charges me every month to keep the account open. So I know I'm asking for a lot, but I assure you that no amount is too small.
Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help us!
