Support Judy and Jose's Medical Journey

January 2024 was the start of a huge change for my family. My mother Judy, after months of tests and various scans, was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. It has now metastasized into her lungs which leaves her with stage 4 cancer. We have been blessed with amazing Doctors who are telling us that this cancer is treatable and my mother started her first chemo treatment in March. She will undergo 6 rounds and eventually have a hysterectomy either this Summer or Fall. Because of the chemo, she has been very weak and still isn't able to fully help herself around the house. My family has all taken turns to help as much as we physically can but due to us having to work we are unable to give her the care we want. We have since hired a CNA to help around the house and to help my mom with her physical needs while we (her kids) are at work.
While our Mother has been undergoing this devastating diagnosis, on March 24th our Father, Jose, was rushed to the hospital with severe stomach pains and dangerous high blood pressure. After multiple tests and scans for him at the hospital, doctors discovered that he suffered from an extreme hiatal hernia where his stomach pushed into his lungs. This caused him to be severely septic, have double pneumonia and eventually lead him to have exploratory surgery that next day to see how his stomach was affected. At 1 am, after 4 hours of surgery his entire stomach had to be removed because the tissue had all died.
Our Father was left intubated after the first surgery. That same week, since he was stable he was able to have a second major surgery to create a new digestive system. His Doctors told us all the risks and mentioned in both surgeries that our Dad may not survive because of how serious and risky this surgery was. With prayer and faith in God, our Dad survived but was left intubated for 2 weeks. He was in ICU for exactly 29 days and after he was able to go to a regular room at the hospital. So far he has been in the hospital for 35 days.
Once he leaves the hospital, he will be going to an intensive rehab facility to regain the strength that he once had. We are unsure how long he will need to be there for but we are blessed with knowing God has gotten him and will bring him through!
With all of this being said, my family has been hit with more medical bills than we could ever imagine. Our health care system is not covering 100% and my brothers and I do not want my parents to deplete their retirement savings and put it into medical bills. Once my parents are both home, they are going to need constant care.
These funds will not only help contribute to medical bills but also CNA home health care as well.
We want the best for our parents who have given everything and more to us.
We thank everyone who has taken the time to read this, pray for us and who are able to help financially.
