Support Julia Klatt Singer's Healing Journey
Donation protected
Julia Klatt Singer, or (Teacher Julia as her pre-school students at Grace Neighborhood Nursery School know her), was enjoying a walk in her northeast Minneapolis neighborhood this past Sunday when she was involved in a devastating hit-and-run that left her with multiple serious injuries, including a broken foot, a broken leg, a fractured hip and lumbar and a broken/dislocated shoulder. She was featured on a KSTP news story this week: Julia news story
While Julia's resolve is strong, we know that she has a long recovery in the weeks and months to come. This GoFundMe is an offering of support for Julia and her family as she undergoes multiple surgeries, an extended hospital stay at HCMC, and transitional care in the following weeks.
Julia brings light to our community through her teaching, art, poetry, and her peaceful presence. She emanates kindness and connection and has even turned this personal setback into an opportunity to share a message focused on compassion and humanity.
We recognize that a deep sense of humility makes it uncomfortable for Julia to accept help, but also know that any form of support will be appreciated by Julia and her family while she is unable to work and while they take time away from work to care for her.
In addition to monetary donations through Venmo or Go Fund Me, please also take a moment to share a video message to encourage Julia's speedy recovery: videos for Julia
