Support Julie Bernier in her fight against cancer!

Last fall I made my second trip from Delaware to Allagash, ME where I stayed with Wayne and Julie Bernier (with Allagash Adventures) for a week long bear hunting trip. The two of them made me feel like family and are some of the best people I’ve ever met in my travels. While I was getting to know them I learned that Julie was a cancer survivor. Wayne told me over and over again how grateful he was that she beat it, and that he wouldn’t know what to do without his best friend. Julie started feeling bad again recently and it was discovered that she has Stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized to her liver. The doctors are hopeful that with aggressive treatment that she can once again beat this horrible disease. 

Unfortunately they have to travel 6 hours to Portland for the aggressive treatment that she needs. As you can imagine, the cost of this is going to be devastating to them. I’m asking for your help in raising money to make sure these amazing people don’t have to worry about how they are going to make ends meet while Julie fights for her life. 

Wayne and Julie are a hard working couple that built a life in an area with harsh winters and where you have to rely on yourself for almost everything. People like them deserve a break from time to time and and not stressing about money would be a hugerelief.
