Our beautiful Mother of 3, Grandmother of 3, Wife and Friend Julie Phipps has recently been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Cancer https://www.cancer.ca/en/cancer-information/cancer-type/neuroendocrine/neuroendocrine-tumours/?region=sk a rare form of Cancer that has shown up in her liver, further scan this week will determine whether the cancer has spread to other areas in her body or if there is a secondary tumour. “The good news is Mum was told after the biopsy, that it was not primary liver cancer which is a positive result as primary liver cancer has a less positive outcome. Mum's cancer is very rare but treatable with a much more possible outcome for recovery. “
Mum has always been very conscious about nutrition, has never smoked and rarely drinks alcohol so this diagnosis has come as a complete shock to all of us who have always known her as a happy, healthy and spiritual person.
Symptoms for this type of cancer take a long time to manifest and a few months ago Mum thought she had a cracked rib when she first started to notice pain. She went to the doctor who prescribed a blood test where it was noted Mums liver was sluggish and required further investigation, which lead to an ultrasound, then an MRI and biopsy which gave a full account of the tumours.
As most of you would know our much loved Mum is the most loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her 3 children and 2 adorable grandchildren Gracie and Eli and both mum and dad have been the most incredibly doting grandparents over the past few years. True to Mums happy and gracious style she firmly believes, despite facing radical surgery and an intense time of treatment, that she can turn around the cancer with the help of integrated medical, diet and a specialised healing treatment plan.
We want to support her to move ahead positively with this plan and give others hope who may be facing a similar situation but don't want to just rely on chemotherapy as an option. Mum believes that with the right plan of holistic health treatment and practice will turn around a serious diagnosis like hers and with the belief that our bodies are incredibly powerful and have the capacity to fully heal ourselves if given enough hope, faith and trust, we as a family stand united by her side through this life changing journey, and will support her every step of the way to make a full and brilliant recovery.
