We are a group of Advocates for Justice who are currently fighting the California State Bar. We have been in this battle since September 2024 in federal court - case no. 24-cv-1997-JLS and are refiling in state court because the State Bar is asserting it is immune and above the law in federal court.
This fight began nearly three years ago and all of the money is gone.
On March 18, 2022, a California lawyer represented a handful of attorneys and clients suing the State Bar and Tyler Technologies, Inc. for a data breach where 322,525 confidential state bar investigations landed on the internet for anyone to see and download.
In retaliation, the State Bar whipped up an investigation and filed charges against the attorney, disqualifying her from the data breach case.
This left thousands of putative class members out in the cold because class actions cannot move forward without counsel.
All of the other attorneys that could handle this type of case fear the cost is just too high a price to pay to take it.
The court found the claims against the Bar and Tyler Tech were legitimate and ordered them to asnwer the Complaint for negligence and deceit.

But these plaintiffs are all without counsel in this fight due to the Bar's wrongful actions in attaining this result.
So a handful of clients joined up with the attorney who originally represented the Roe plaintiffs in the Data Breach lawsuit against the State Bar and Tyler Tech and they have sued them in federal court.
They sued the California State Bar and Tyler Technologies for their unlawful acts of retaliation in federal court on September 16, 2024.

That attorney is me.
We are a group of seven joined together as lawyers stripped of our licenses and their clients stripped of their attorney of choice even though no harm was found by the State Bar to any client or the public. We are fighting for our First Amendment constitutional rights after the State Bar retaliated against us.
The State Bar has taken everything from me because I stood up for all other members of the bar and even the clients who filed State Bar complaints (e.g. disruption from corruption).
I stood by the attorneys and complainants who were victims of the data breach until the day my license was taken because this is not the first time the power of the State Bar was weaponized against me and it was the right thing to do.
I suffered for years with dirty tricks from the State Bar and being sexually harassed by outside attorneys who are their confidential informants. I have been quiet on social media for years now due to the trolling.
No doubt they will troll this endeavor if they discover it to try to shut it down!

I have also had the federal court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals step in on my behalf in the past and come to my rescue when the State Bar was wrongfully withholding my license.
For example, on May 5, 2021, Judge Scott C. Clarkson told the State Bar he thought he was being misled.

However, we have to take this fight to state court because the State Bar has a chance of escaping liability based on Eleventh Amendment sovereign immunity and we cannot let that happen.
My clients have stood by my side - some are pictured below at a rally against the State Bar.

Now our group of seven are in the fight for our livelihoods with the State Bar trying to hold them accountable in court which is expensive - and need your help.

Thank you!
P.S. What does the cover photo have to do with this case? That is a photo of me showing ATSC 3.0 nextgen technology glass to glass when the Bar alleges I was committing Unauthorized Practice of Law in Federal Court to justify taking my license. Not only was my practice taken so was this tour which ruined the lives of others far beyond the context of litigation.
