Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Souls,
Almost 9 years ago, I reached out to many of you to help me save my son's life. To those that did, I want to say thank you so much because he is alive and is doing great things. I am now writing to you today with an open heart, asking for your support again in helping my son Justice Amir Griffith—who is now an inspiring 19-year-old entrepreneur, ALL cancer survivor, and culinary student at Cal State Long Beach—make his dream of opening a Belizean restaurant in Long Beach a reality.
Justice's Journey of Resilience and Inspiration:
At just 19 years old, Justice has already faced incredible adversity and has turned his struggles into purpose. Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at a young age, Justice fought for his life with courage and determination. He did not face this battle alone because there were people like you who supported him, one of the brightest lights in his life was Clippers's NBA star Blake Griffin. Together, they created the Just 5 sneaker initiative aimed at raising awareness for ALL. Please see the video above.
It was during this challenging time that Justice’s resilience and strength began to shine brighter than ever. Through the pain and hardship, Justice’s greatest supporters were his parents, family and his beloved grandmother Mrs, Ethel Amanda Arnold, who would travel from New Jersey to be by his side, offering unwavering love and encouragement. Tragically, during the COVID-19 pandemic, his grandmother passed away, leaving a deep void in his heart.
A Dream Inspired by Love and Loss:
In honor of his grandmother’s belizean legacy, Justice has poured his heart into creating a Belizean restaurant called Amanda’s Belizean Cuisine (ABC)—a space that will not only showcase the rich, vibrant flavors of Belize but also stand as a tribute to the woman who taught him the power of love, family, food and perseverance.
Justice has been working to get his pop-up events off the ground, sharing his passion for food and honoring his grandmother’s spirit through each dish. However, despite his incredible resilience and entrepreneurial drive, he needs your support to turn his dream into a full-fledged restaurant. The financial burden is significant, and to bring ABC to life, Justice needs $25,000 to cover essential startup costs, such as securing a location, kitchen equipment, and marketing to spread the word to the community.
Why This Matters:
Justice’s story is one of survival, courage, and the desire to give back to others who are fighting the battle he knows so well. This isn’t just about opening a restaurant—it’s about providing a beacon of hope to those fighting cancer, showing them that with love, resilience, and the support of a community, anything is possible.
Cancer affects us all in some way—whether it’s a loved one fighting the battle or our own personal journey. Justice’s restaurant will not only be a place to enjoy delicious food served with love, but it will also stand as a symbol of hope, compassion, and the importance of coming together as a community. Every dollar raised will help support cancer awareness, the memory of his grandmother, and a new generation of culinary entrepreneurs who believe in the power of friends, family and food.
How You Can Help:
We are asking for your support—whether you are a friend, a family member, or a business with a heart for this cause. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make an incredible difference. The goal is $25,000, which will allow Justice to cover startup costs, secure a location in Long Beach, and ensure that his dream is realized in honor of the people he loves, and the fight that so many continue to face every single day.
If you are unable to donate financially, please help by sharing this campaign with your network, spreading the word about this incredible young man’s dream, and helping us raise awareness for this important cause.
Together, we can collectively help Justice Griffith create Amanda’s Belizean Cuisine, a restaurant that honors the life of his grandmother and serves as a beacon of hope for cancer fighters everywhere.
Justice’s Story Is Your Story:
When you donate to this campaign, you’re not just donating to a restaurant—you’re investing in the strength of the human spirit, the power of perseverance, and the unwavering will to fight for a better tomorrow. This is your chance to be part of something bigger than all of us, something that will change lives and inspire others to keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles.
Justice’s Story, Amanda’s Legacy, and the Future of Belizean Cuisine in Long Beach Are Waiting—Help Us Bring It to Life.
