Support Justin Montenegro's Stroke Recovery

Justin Montenegro is a dedicated teacher in Nashville, TN. On Sunday night (August 25th), he had an ischemic stroke, followed by another event the next day. He had life-saving surgery on Monday night to reduce swelling in his brain. At this time, he is stable and will be sedated for a few more days. Because of the nature of brain trauma, there is not yet a prognosis, however he will require extensive care during and following his hospital stay.

Justin’s wife Kristin is also a teacher, and they have four kids- Ashley, Ileana, Julius and Penny. While they are grateful for the generous insurance coverage they receive through their employer, the reality is that this will be a long and expensive recovery process.

Any funds raised will go directly to Kristin for medical expenses, palliative and respite care, and general expenses involved with Justin’s recovery. I will update as I gather more information.
