Support Justin's Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected

This fight will be like something you’ve never seen before.

What started as a trip to the doctor for a nagging case of pneumonia has launched Justin Severs, 41, and his family into the fight for his life.

The Frankenmuth, MI father of three and devoted husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer despite never smoking or vaping a day in his life. The cancer has also been discovered in his lymph nodes, spine and rib.

Immediately following the diagnosis, Justin’s wife Kelley began searching for not only a place that could see him ASAP but one that would also offer him the best treatment possible. After many phone calls and research, Kelley was able to secure an appointment at MD Anderson in Houston, TX on January 30th. This world-leading cancer center offers dozens of lung cancer doctors and some of the most cutting-edge treatments, including clinical trials.

In the meantime, Justin is currently at University of Michigan receiving more treatment for his pneumonia.

This fight has prompted both Justin and Kelley to go on FMLA. With so many unknowns ahead, we hope to help the Severs family continue to focus on this battle and not the cost.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting the Severs family not only by lessening their burden but also by praying, encouraging and supporting them through this next chapter.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT JUSTIN:

Justin is a proud dad to three boys: Cameron (20), Cayden (13) and Carter (10). He’s also married to the love of his life Kelley.

He is a long-time police officer and currently a detective for the Saginaw Township Police Department helping secure justice for hundreds of victims.

Justin is also the CEO of Carter Kits , a non-profit inspired by his son Carter who has autism. The autism sensory kits provide an extra tool for first responders at emergency scenes when there is an individual with special needs. Since 2019, Carter Kits has delivered more than 20,000 kits to 41 states and four countries.

Despite his packed schedule, Justin can’t help but live out his nature as a helper. He volunteers countless hours helping young athletes and their teams. If there is a tournament at the football field, baseball diamond or bowling alley, that’s where you’ll find him.

He currently serves as a football coach for Frankenmuth High School assisting with the junior varsity and varsity teams.

On top of it all, he is an incredible family man and friend.

My name is Andrew Keller, my wife is Meg, and Justin and Kelley are our best friends and neighbors. Justin does not deserve the fight he'll have to endure, and his family certainly doesn't deserve to go through this. But I can tell you one thing, and I speak for all of his family, friends, colleagues, and YOU who have made it this far, Justin, Kelley and the family will not have to worry about one thing because this is a fight like you have never seen before.

Funds raised will be used toward medical bills and general family expenses while Justin and Kelley are on medical leave.
