Support Justus's Fight Against Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Donation protected
On January 9th, Justus, my brother, decided to go into the emergency room after a few weeks of feeling off. He experienced extreme fatigue, weight loss, lightheadedness, and became easily winded. This was very strange for him since he is a healthy young 26-year-old who is a millwright by trade and deals with manual labor on a daily basis.
In the following weeks, he has been through more tests than he could have ever imagined, and the pain he has felt is something I wish I could take away from him. He has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Justus has started chemo and has a very long road ahead, but I am certain that with his strength and stubbornness, he will come out on the other side of this stronger than he was before. As many of you who know him personally, he is a fighter.
Justus is currently in the hospital and will be there for another month or so before he is able to come back home. He will then have monthly follow-ups and other things he will need to do to beat this leukemia. He is not able to work right now and will not be able to return to work for a while. There will be medical bills that will come at the end of this, and for all the support he has given me through the years, I would love to lessen this burden for him so that he can just focus on getting better.
If you feel compelled to donate, I know that Justus would really appreciate it, and I thank you for taking the time to read a little about my amazing brother who will be back to annoying me in no time.
