Support Kaci and Sutton!

Hi, my name is Allison and I’m fundraising for Kaci Lowery and her 7 year old daughter, Sutton.

Sutton was diagnosed with PMG or Polymicrogyria in July of

2018. Poly "too many" - Micro "small" - Gyria "folds in the brain." Kiddos with this rare brain malformation can experience a wide range of symptoms from lack of speech and mobility to debilitating seizures. Some kids even lose their lives.

Sutton is one of the lucky kids whose symptoms are somewhere in the middle of that range. She can't speak but communicates very clearly with her facial expressions and the sounds she can produce. She works daily on sign language and using her communication device. She is able to walk short distances with her walker and uses a wheelchair or crawls for the rest. She is in therapy through school and through Carle, and still participates in swim therapy as well. She loves it!!!! She works and loves harder than anyone l've ever met. To know Sutton is to love Sutton and if she loves you back and gives you one of her amazing hugs, you're truly blessed.

Kaci is one of the most positive and hardest working moms I’ve ever met! She is always exploring new opportunities for Sutton, is a fierce advocate for her, and loves each of her daughters deeply. In order to maintain and improve Sutton’s independence, comfort, and well-being, Kaci works very hard to provide Sutton with therapy, wheelchair accessible seating to install in her van, and new equipment like chairs and braces for her legs. There also the costs of many medical appointments, referrals, and medical procedures.

Kaci handles all of this with a positive attitude and a smile on her face but I’m hoping that as a community we can rally around Kaci and Sutton to help support them with not only our love but also by easing the financial strain that can felt in order for Sutton to receive exceptional care and services.
