Support Kadiatou Barry's Dream to Become a Dentist

Greetings!
My name is Kadiatou Barry, and I am currently a Post-Baccalaureate student at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. While I am thrilled to have been given this incredible opportunity, I am now at risk of being withdrawn from the program due to a significant financial shortfall. Upon successful completion of the program, I will matriculate into Creighton University School of Dentistry in the Fall of 2025.
Originally from Guinea, West Africa, I immigrated to the United States when I was 12 years old. Since then, my journey has been filled with challenges—adapting to a new culture, overcoming language barriers, and navigating the complexities of higher education as an immigrant. Despite these obstacles, my determination to become a dentist has never faltered. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, in 2021, and after years of hard work, I was accepted into Creighton’s Post-Baccalaureate Program in June 2024, a critical step towards achieving my dream.
However, I am now facing a financial crisis that may prevent me from continuing in this program. I was unaware that FAFSA could not cover 100% of my tuition costs. I have also been unable to secure approval for a personal loan, and unfortunately, my parents are not in a financial position to assist me. My tuition balance must be paid by the end of the fall semester, or I risk being withdrawn from the program.
Time is running out, and I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes of securing any form of financial assistance that can help me meet this urgent deadline. I do not qualify for Federal Direct Unsubsidized or Subsidized Loans, and Post-Baccalaureate programs like mine do not allow access to Parent PLUS or Grad PLUS Loans.
If you would rather donate directly to the Financial Aid department, you can reach them directly. My student ID number is KBA46535.
The total amount owed is approximately $20,000 for the 2024-2025 school year. Your generosity would provide immediate relief and allow me to focus on my studies, rather than the constant fear of financial hardship.
Despite the difficulties I’ve faced along the way, I am resolute in my commitment to succeed. My goal is to become a dentist, serve my community, and create opportunities for others to pursue their dreams. Any assistance you can provide would be profoundly impactful and would help ensure that financial constraints do not derail my aspirations.
Thank you very much for your time, consideration, and any support you can offer!
