Hello everyone,

My name is Kai Subith, and I am a 19-year-old alpine ski racer from Hailey, Idaho. I am reaching out to seek your support in achieving my lifelong dream of making the U.S. Ski Team or skiing for a competitive Division 1 college team.

About Me:

From a young age, I have poured my heart and soul into ski racing. Growing up near Sun Valley, Idaho, a place known for its beautiful slopes and rich skiing culture, I have dedicated countless hours to training and competing. My hard work has paid off, as I am currently ranked 14th in the U.S. in Slalom for my age and have had the honor of competing in the U.S. Nationals for the past two years.

My Family's Sacrifice:

My journey would not have been possible without the immense sacrifices made by my parents. Their unwavering support has been the backbone of my progress both on the slopes and in the classroom. My mother, for instance, juggled three nursing jobs when I was training with Sugar Bowl Academy and currently works two jobs here in Sun Valley. My father also works two jobs, all to support my passionate dream of becoming a professional athlete.

The Challenge:

Ski racing is an incredibly expensive sport. Costs include equipment, program fees, coaching fees, race entries, travel expenses (plane tickets, hotel rooms), and the overall costs to attend a ski program. As you can imagine, these expenses add up quickly and can be overwhelming for a middle-class family to manage.

Why I Need Your Help:

I have shown great perseverance, balancing rigorous training sessions and competitions from California to Maine, and even international trips to Chile and Austria, all while maintaining high academic standards at Sun Valley Community School.
