8/14/24: Kai’s kidney values are not improving and this may be his last chance. Kai is the best boy in the world, he is my family. We need a miracle for him, I won’t give up on him.

We are blown away by the support we’ve received for Kai. Unfortunately, his kidneys are now functioning at around 30%. Our only other option now is dialysis to flush his body and improve his prognosis. This treatment is now being quoted at $20,000 due to Kai’s case. If by the kindness of your heart you are able to make a donation, our family thanks you and is forever grateful. I need to bring our baby back home.

I brought Kai to the ER after I noticed he had jaundice-yellowing of his eyes. He was given a full panel test that showed extreme values in both his liver and kidneys, indicative of failure. I am told he has a 50/50 chance with a hospital stay and IV fluids/antibiotics. This can range from $4000-$6000. I love this dog more than I love myself. He has been with me through the worst moments of my life. I have never loved anything the way I love him. I will give up anything for him to be okay.
