Support Kaleb McAnulty's Final Farewell

Donation protected
Hello everyone, My name is Megan McAnulty. I am Kaleb McAnulty’s older sister. I am hoping to raise money to help cover a final farewell for Kaleb and ease some of the financial burden from my parents, Sally and Brandon McAnulty.

Yesterday, on November 2nd, we lost a family member. One of my little brothers, Kaleb, was tragically taken from us. Yesterday I was woken up with the terrible news that Kaleb had been murdered via a gunshot wound to the head; and that he was found in his car that was parked in my parent’s driveway. Kaleb was only 24 years old. He had his whole life ahead of him, and he didn’t deserve to have that taken away from him.

Kaleb and I spent 24 years together, he was my longest friend. Of course we fought and didn’t always see eye to eye, but at the end of the day, we were family, and that was sacred. We went on endless adventures together, got in trouble together countless times, and had deep talks on any topic you could think of. Kaleb was: strong; fierce; brave; courageous; adventurous; creative; goofy; observant; determined; and authentically himself. We all miss him and all the qualities he added to our family. And we are determined to give him the justice he deserves.

Unfortunately, all of this is happening simultaneously to my mom battling cancer. In February, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 laryngeal cancer and Stage 1 lung cancer. She has undergone extensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Unfortunately, those treatments did not work, which led to her getting an emergency tracheostomy. The latest step in her treatment happened exactly one month ago - she got a total laryngectomy. She essentially had to get her entire throat removed and then rebuilt, which meant losing her voice box and the ability to speak vocally. So, not only is my mom coping with cancer, treatment, and the loss of her voice, she is now having to cope with the loss of one of her children.

As you can see, this year my family has been through more than anyone should have to endure in a single year. And we weren’t prepared for any of it. We don’t like asking for help, but we need all the help we can get right now. I’ve created a Go Fund Me page to try to help my family cover a final farewell for Kaleb. Any donation or shares would mean the world to us. If you’ve read this far, thank you. Please keep our family in your thoughts as the road ahead will not be easy.
