Ellison has an unbalanced left sided AV canal , which can also be known as atrioventricular septal defect she is in the PICU at Vanderbilt, being closely monitored at this time , with her condition at this point everything is time dependent , on making their decisions on how to Proceed , the cardiology team is waiting on the PDA in her heart to close. Once this closes then Ellisons stats will change and we will find out if she is getting too much oxygen in her blood or if she will be getting too little , when they find this out , that will indicate what procedure will be best for her , and how to move forward we have been told even after this procedure we are looking at at least 2 heart surgeries to repair this , the first being around 4-6 months of age. Ellison is being treated in Nashville which is a decent travel to and from home for them.
