Support Kamel's Family in Gaza

Kamel is a 56 year-old remaining steadfast with his wife, 2 daughters, and son in Khan Younis near Al-Aqsa University. Kamel was injured in the war and has been unable to provide for his family members. The home that Kamel’s family lived in had been destroyed in Israeli carpet bombing campaigns. Many members of his family and friends have been martyred since October 7th.

I am a student and childcare worker located in Wisconsin. I have been speaking with Kamel since August 2024 and with his son since June 2024. Kamel is collecting money for his family to access clean water, food, and a new tent, since theirs is broken and not suitable for winter. All the money raised for Kamel is sent directly to his PayPay, which you can access on his Instagram page.

With the Rafah Border Crossing being closed in May 2024, funds will be used to support Kamel’s family in the Mawasi area near Al-Aqsa University. The cost of food is around $1-2k/month and a new tent is $1.2k.

Once the Rafah Crossing reopens, funds will be used to evacuate Kamel and his family. For now, our goal is $20k, but this may change once we find out the cost of evacuation to Egypt, which previously had been $10k/adult. Our goal may also fluctuate based on Kamel and his family’s survival needs and any associated costs.
