Support Kandi's Fight for Health and Hope

We are the family of Stephanie (kandi) Banks (the daughter Floyd Rencher and Matilda Banks). We come to you in hopes of raising funds for Kandi's medical journey. In the photo above that is Kandi celebrating her 50th birthday in January.

Kandi has been battling kidney disease for over 15 years. She has had one kindey transplant that failed. Kandi has been on dialysis to keep her kidney going in hopes of another transplant.

However, dialysis has caused some major issues with her heart.

Most recently she encountered a medical emergency that required her to be medically flown to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota in the past week.

She was scheduled for heart surgery for February of this year. She has encountered some issues that has made it difficult for her to have the surgery.

At this time she is on 24 hour dialysis as the doctors are trying to avoid more heart damage. Kandi's heart fully stopped twice in one day.

The wonderful doctors have worked diligently to get her back. Her heart doctor has said that in his 30 years as a heart doctor he has NEVER seen someone come back from that.

He has also stated she is an extremely strong young lady to come back from such a medical episode.

Kandi is a very strong spirit. Through her journey she has never complained and remained positive!! She is a soft spoken, kind woman with a beautiful smile. She loves her family, she loves to laugh, and travel when she was able to. She has an immense and unwavering love for her grand children or " g babies" as she calls them. Kandi has bravely fought through this journey no matter the news she has never given up even now where she is at the hardest part of this journey.

We are trying to raise these funds to offset the enormous costs involved in her journey. Kandi and family are very appreciative of any donations big or small. Please also include Kandi and family in your prayers for strength, wellness, and the doctors to continue to provide the best care to build her health and strength as we anticipate her ability to have her next major heart surgery.
