Support Karen Olson Weaver's Legal Defense Fund

Dear Fairlington Friends -

Our neighbor, Karen Olson Weaver, needs our help. As many of your know, the board of Fairlington Villages took legal action against Karen for distributing board election campaign flyers outside of an approved timeframe. Karen apologized for this mistake. The board still sued Karen and she was forced to spend over $6000 in legal fees to defend herself.

Karen has been a dedicated member of our community acting as our At Large, Fairlington Board Member. She has served on many committees: Pools, Parking, Grounds, Egress Windows, King Street Perimeter Fence, Turf Care Alternatives, The Native Plant Sale, and the Monarch Rescue Meet-Ups. You see Karen's impact everywhere as you walk through our beautiful grounds. Her company donated to the PTA at the "Silver Level" and to the Historical Society Home & Garden Tour.

One of the great things about our community is our willingness to help and support each other. Please consider contributing to the legal defense fund for our friend, Karen Olson Weaver. Any contributions in excess of Karen's legal bills will be contributed to the Abingdon Elementary School PTA.

Karen has served us. Now is our time to serve her.
