Hello amazing friends, family and fellow sports enthusiasts,

Growing up I was taught to do what I can with what I have, and if I don’t have the means, then it’s not meant to be. This is why it’s been so hard for me to put this GoFundMe together and why I’ve waited until now. But as my Team Varlo says, alone we go faster, but together we go further. I’ve done everything in my power and now I’m asking you for your support in my journey to race to my professional license while I represent Team USA at the prestigious Triathlon World Championships in Finland and Spain, a true testament of my hard work and dedication to this sport.

After leaving my parents at the age of 9 and moving back to the U.S., I had to quickly grow up and because of my living situation, I was deprived of engaging in sports. Hence, my journey in the world of triathlon began with a single goal: to explore my potential and inspire other young women who’ve also battled with an eating disorder to love their bodies for what they can do and not for what they look like. As a Latina woman of color, I’ve also had to battle against stigmas in our culture as to what is accepted for a woman my age to do. My journey to qualifying for my professional license is one of early morning swims, countless miles on the bike and grueling runs. In the process, I’ve transformed into a confident young Latina through sweat, sacrifice, and unyielding commitment.

Now, the opportunity of a lifetime is on the horizon. I’ve earned a spot on Team USA and I’m set to compete against the world's best athletes in the upcoming World Championships in Europe. This is a moment I worked tirelessly for. However, the cost of international travel, training, equipment, and competition expenses is a significant burden for me to bear alone.
