Kathie Andrews Medical and Urgent Expenses

Dear Family, Friends and Kind Strangers.

Those of you that have had the pleasure to get to know my sister know that she has an incredibly kind heart with a smile and laugh that is so infectious you cannot help but be drawn in. She always has a way to find the light in any dark situation. So many have reached out to ask how they can help, and this is what is needed at this time. Now it is our time to help her through the darkest of times.

Kathie was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer on November 2nd, 2023 that had metastasized to her brain, adrenal glands, and intestinal space. She immediately began radiation on her brain, which had great results, and quickly moved into chemotherapy. She is now having radiation to work on the tumor in her intestinal space leaving her unable to work. Her long-term disability was denied as well as SSI. These are both being appealed but take some time. In the meantime, she has no income. The cost of her health insurance, medications, and travel expenses to get back and forth to her treatments is putting a strain on her financially. This does not include the bills for her Dr’s appointments and treatments.

Kathie is a loving mother with 3 grandkids who she adores with every fiber of her being. Kathie has a long difficult fight to be able to have more time with her family. She had to give up her home that she has worked so hard for just so she could afford what little she has left.
