Support Kathy's Battle Against Cancer

The diagnosis of advanced stage 4 colon/liver cancer was unexpected and has been truly overwhelming for myself and my family. There are many unanswered questions as we continue through the process, but I couldn’t be more appreciative for all the support and kindness from everyone while me and my family are going thru this extremely difficult time. It’s truly been a blessing.

In my time at Intercare I have learned that no matter how diverse our team, our stories, or our background’s are, one thing we all share is our compassion and kindness not only for our patients but for our colleagues. Intercare is my extended family and the support has been incredible.

I would like to extend a personal thank you to each and every person who has contributed in anyway that they could. Whether it be helping with watching my dog, helping pay for food and gas for my out of town family, those who donated, visited, sent messages of kindness or support.

I remain optimistic and am trying to stay hopeful and positive through this process. I hope to return home from the hospital soon.
