Support Katie As She Beats Cancer

Katie's battle began January 30, 2024 with a trip to the doctor's office with concerns about a lump that was barely noticed a month prior but she had noticed growing rapidly over the 2 weeks leading up to the appointment. We went into the appointment under the assumption that it was just a swollen lymph node. The doctor did bloodwork and set Katie up for a CT scan with plans to do a biopsy after they got the scan results. Feb. 3 Katie had her CT scan and we anxiously waited for the results, when we finally got the call from the doctor's office expecting the results of the CT scan we were told to get Katie to Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Once we were there they informed us that they believed it was cancer and they wanted to do more tests to determine, if it is, what kind, where, and how to treat it.

This began a long process of tests and scans which informed us that she has Stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. They found growths in her neck, spleen and a large growth around her heart and lungs. A plan has been made for Katie to undergo chemo treatments for the next 6 months which was started Feb. 19.

I am her older brother, Jonathon, making this on behalf of our parents because they are not big on asking for help and we have had people ask us for a place to donate to help get Katie whatever she may need during this fight since they have had to/ will have to miss work due to appointments and taking care of Katie at home after chemo.
