Support Katie’s Battle Against a Rare Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

When you’re young, in love with your long-time boyfriend and planning your wedding this November, these should be the happiest days of your life. And they were for our Katie, who has been working very hard and planning the life she will share with her fiancé, Kurt.

But their lives were recently upended when Katie fell ill and was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma that is complicated by tumors in her heart. Doctors have ordered an aggressive course of treatment and she will need to stay in the hospital long term as her care team monitors her progress.

Katie and Kurt have been together since the day they graduated from Steinert High School. They stayed close to home for college – he attended College of New Jersey in Ewing and she went to Rider University in Lawrenceville, earning top honors. And when they decided to move to Orlando to pursue their dreams working with Disney and Universal Studios they did it together.

So it comes as no surprise that they are facing this crisis together – Kurt literally hasn’t left her side for more than an hour or two at a time. But as they dedicate themselves to Katie’s treatment and recovery, they are also dealing with a loss of income and growing expenses to cover Katie’s care. They need financial help to get through this difficult time.

She has always been the center of the universe for her father, Paul, her mother, Cathy, and her brother, Steven. And to Kurt, with whom she is inseparable, she is the whole world.
