Support Katie's Fight Against Cancer

Hi friends and family. Our lives have been forever changed this year. As most of you might know, Katie found a lump in February 2024 and was diagnosed on March 8th with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer at 25 weeks pregnant. Her amazing team of doctors acted quick and had her port placed on March 20th with her first round of chemo on March 21st.

Katie has courageously already undergone 3 rounds of chemo while in her third trimester, which she completed on May 2nd. She is now preparing to welcome sweet baby Eloise later this month at 36 weeks to ensure there is no delay in her chemo treatment.

There is a possibility that her last round of aggressive chemo will be on June 6th as long as her birth goes well and she doesn’t have to have a c section. On June 20th she will begin her weekly rounds of chemo that will go on for 12 weeks. After her last round of weekly chemo, Katie will then undergo surgery to have a mastectomy or lumpectomy. Radiation will then take place for a timeframe that is still to be determined by her team.

During this time, Katie will be unable to work due to just having a newborn and her treatments. Drew, who has been by her side every step of the way, will be handling a lot on his own during this time, as we are unsure how Katie is going to react to her chemo, as well as being the sole provider for his family. We are kindly asking if you are able to donate during this trying time to help take some or the worry off of Katie and her family, we would greatly appreciate it.

Currently, Katie’s tumor is responding well to her treatment plan, and her doctors are very happy and positive about the results thus far. Please continue to pray for Katie, Drew and sweet baby Eloise and her team of amazing doctors during this trying and difficult time.
