Support Kay Hyman's Breast Cancer Journey
Donation protected
Kay Hyman learned she had breast cancer last November and started her fight. First battle was surgery to remove the cancer. After surgery to remove a tumor in her right breast and removal of lymph nodes in December, she then underwent weeks of radiation in January and February 2023. Now she begins the third part of the battle with daily medications. Kay is in great spirits and has continued to work to help animals in our community. She is feeling strong, and ready to finish the fight! Medical treatments, radiation, surgery and oncology appointments = medical bills and this fundraiser is one way we can help alleviate that burden. Her daughter Zoe, husband Phillip, and the crew at Charleston Animal Society, as well as friends and family throughout the Lowcountry have sent positive energy and prayers for support. She is surrounded by so much love, let's show her even more! The coming months will be filled with medical appointments and healing. We'd love for our community to come together to help alleviate some of the financial hardship that comes with her cancer diagnosis. This April Kay will celebrate 30 years of working at Charleston Animal Society as the voice for animals in our community. You've seen her on TV and heard her on the radio; she always goes the extra mile as a champion for every animal and human she meets. This is our way to ensure Kay can stay healthy and continue to fight for our community's animals. Now, it's our time to be Kay's champion.
