Reparations for Kaycee: Tiny home and plot of land

I am urgently trying to raise $65k to purchase a tiny home and plot of land. Black women die because we don't have access to safe and stable housing.

I have been experiencing a sustained housing crisis since November 2019. Within the last eight months I have moved six times and am now homeless again after living with a queer white supremacist who threatened to call the police on me for parking my car in the garage, where I was paying rent. I have endured domestic violence throughout my life and I refuse to live with my abuser. 

Currently, I am unemployed with no income, no health insurance, and no housing. In May 2020 I quit my job after being injured my first day back at work during this pandemic. I was performing non-essential labor for my City employer when I was injured. When I reported my injuries and safety concerns to the union representative her response was that I should be grateful I have a job and should focus on minding my own business. I refuse to give my life, labor, and health to an employer who has never valued my talents and wisdom. (Most recently, when I applied for a promotion to Librarian they offered me a position with an $11k decrease in pay. I rejected that offer because I know my worth.) My relationship with this employer was toxic and rendered me disabled last year. I left this job because I value my health and my life more than anything.

Additionally, trying to navigate government welfare like food stamps, medical-Cal,  and unemployment funds have been nearly impossible during this pandemic. I have multiple disabilities and need to have health insurance coverage to manage them. 

I need financial resources to secure housing so that I won't be homeless. I have poor credit and no job; finding someone to rent to me while poor, disabled, and Black is not only challenging but those housing opportunities are often predatory with landlords who do not respect my tenant rights. In the last six months I have had to abruptly move four times behind domestic violence and white supremacy. 

I am tired and know that I deserve stability.

I deserve safe and secure housing.

I deserve my own home. (I am trying to purchase a tiny home and a plot of land where I can farm and grow food to feed myself and community and mind my own business. This is reparations.)

I deserve medical care.

I deserve good health.

I deserve freedom. 

I deserve to thrive. 

And I deserve it all in this lifetime. 

I need reparations in order to access what I deserve in this lifetime. 

I am trying to raise ~$65k for the following:

-Car payment: $388/month 

-Phone bill: $128/month 

-Storage unit: $100/month 

-Dental work: ~$5k

-Tiny house: ~$35k 

-Plot of land: ~$20k
