Support my son Kayden's Fight Against Cancer

The man in these pics is my baby, my son Kayden. He was just diagnosed with lymphoma. He has cancer. Even tho he is my baby, he has two babies of his own (you all know my best friend aka granddaughter Copelynne, he is her dad, and the father of my only little grandson Guardin). Until recently he was the only income for their family, as Guardin has GERD, a chronic digestive disease which causes excessive repeated vomitting. Kayden’s fiancé Shea stays home with him balancing everything that comes with GERD along with all the specialist appointments. However Shae had to pick up an evening job because financially they are struggling, Kayden is missing so much work having biopsies, PET scans, surgery, ECHO and lung function tests, chemo counseling and blood draws, he’s getting his port installed and will start chemo the second week in January.

This is my son. He is my child, my baby boy who took his first steps into my arms. Who made friends with the kids at school that nobody liked, who grew up going fishing with me even tho he didn’t like it simply because he liked spending time with me.

And now he’s sick and has a long scary road ahead of him. And this momma is hurting for him. I can’t do anything but hold his hand, pray, and humble myself asking for help. The one big BIG thing I can do is come to you, my friends, and ask you to help me help my boy.

We are grateful that it looks like they caught it early, and that lymphoma has a highly successful survival and treatment rate. It helps ease the fear, maybe only a little, but we will take what we can get.

The last thing I want him to do is worry about money when he has enough on his plate, trying to fight this and still be a dad to his babies.

i know you got me in this. My friends, whether I’ve known you forever, just a short time, or never met you face to face but we’re FB friends from a mutual love of animals…you all are the bestest friends a girl could have.
