Support Kayla's Battle with Stage 4 Endometriosis

UPDATE:

Kayla is scheduled to have surgery on March 21st. We’ve been able to raise enough money to cover the upfront out of network costs but there will be more bills coming until we meet our max our of pockets for both. We’re going with this surgery that she will get all or as much of the endometriosis as they can along with trying to save her intestines so she won’t need a colostomy.

Hello everyone! We’re reaching out to get some help.

My wife, Kayla is a social worker and is always advocating and supporting others through hard times. Now it’s time for us to support her.

Kayla has stage 4 endometriosis. It’s all over her intestines, lungs, liver, and diaphragm. She is constantly in pain, bloated, and struggles to even eat. She currently sees around 13 doctors and is awaiting her appointments with Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. She recently saw an endometriosis specialist in New York who wants to perform her next surgery. Kayla has been in and out of the hospital around 30 times the last year due to infections, pain, and lack of appetite. She has lost almost 40lbs in 3 months and continues to lose weight. Along with her endometriosis, she gets migraines and possibly tore her meniscus, just adding more complications to her condition.

We are asking for help.

We are trying to raise money to pay for her next surgery. The endometriosis specialist is out of network and will cost around $10,000. Kayla can hardly work and additional funds will go towards prior medical bills, rent, living expenses, and travel for doctors visits.
