Support Kaylee's Battle with Bone Cancer

Donation protected

Hello loving family, friends, neighbors, and caring strangers,

We would like to share the story of a brave young girl who has been suffering for the past few months.

Kaylee Wan is the kindest, sweetest, and most loving 8-year-old girl who likes to dance, run, and play with her sisters and friends. In the spring of 2023, she started having right thigh pain which lasted a few weeks. Her pediatricians thought this was due to her athletic lifestyle. In June, she suffered a fall, fracturing her right femur. After being transferred from a nearby hospital to a larger hospital with more available resources, she had surgery to temporarily repair and stabilize the leg. After the surgery and a biopsy, Kaylee was diagnosed with high-grade osteosarcoma (a form of bone cancer) with a pathologic fracture to her right femur. Since her injury in June, she has not left the hospital. The surgery to temporarily fix and stabilize her leg has left her bedbound. Kaylee’s mom, Justina, stays by her side 24/7 while her dad, Jason, and two sisters, Kylie and Kaitlyn, visit her every day. She is currently in her tenth week of chemotherapy, after which she will have another scan to make sure the chemotherapy is working and the cancer is shrinking and has not spread. She will soon need surgery to remove the cancer from her leg, followed by many more weeks of chemotherapy. Kaylee has a long journey ahead of her, but she is not alone.

As the Wan Family endures one of the hardest battles of their lives, we would like to support them however we can. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly toward Kaylee and her family during this extremely difficult time. The funds will be distributed to her parents, Justina and Jason Wan, to help cover medical expenses not covered under their health insurance, time off from work, and other related expenses. As you can imagine, expenses will begin to accumulate immensely during this time. If you are unable to donate, please share.

Our sweet Kaylee has shown so much strength, bravery, and resilience in the last few months and we want her to feel like a kid again. Kaylee’s 9th birthday is next month, and we hope for good news to celebrate on her birthday. Her family is appreciative and overwhelmed by all the outpourings of love and support. Please continue to send all of your love, prayers, positive vibes, and messages of strength.
