Support Keith: Nuggets Victory Shooting Survivor

Dear all,

My name is Tim Burke, and I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Keith Sablan. Our community was struck by an unexpected tragedy when Keith was shot 3 times in Denver during the Denver Nuggets' victory celebration. This campaign aims to help cover the mounting medical expenses and other unforeseen costs related to this unfortunate incident.

Keith is not just a friend to many, but also a recent college graduate. Just last month, he walked across the stage, proudly accepting his diploma. His eyes were filled with dreams and ambitions, ready to embark on a new chapter of his life. He is a person of character, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. His optimism and drive to make a positive impact on the world is infectious.

On the night of June 12th, 2023, Denver was filled with joy and celebration as the Nuggets clinched a victory. However, the night took a tragic turn for Keith, who was caught in a crossfire of an unexpected act of violence. Keith was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he has since undergone several surgeries.

Currently, Keith is showing signs of recovery, but his journey back to health is far from over. It was discovered that his tibia was completely shattered from a bullet. He has significant internal damage as another bullet punctured his lower stomach and went through to his shoulder.

Despite these challenges, Keith's spirit remains strong. He is awake and able to communicate with his loved ones. However, the financial burden is a daunting one. As we all know, our medical system is broken. Therefore, the costs associated with medical bills, rehabilitation, lost time from work, and other expenses are rapidly accumulating.

That's why we're reaching out to you. Our goal is to raise a total of $100,000 to alleviate some of these financial pressures. We will do this through pushing four $25,000 sprints. No contribution is too small - each donation brings us one step closer to our goals. If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would be equally valuable.

The funds raised will be used to support Keith and his family with the following expenses:

• Hospital bill
• Ambulance bill
• Physical therapy post hospital discharge
• Counseling/therapy 
• Cost of living expenses while unable to work
• Future surgeries to remove rods/screws
• Transportation to and from medical appointments 
• Cost of living expenses for Keith's caregiver post hospital discharge, if/while needed
