Support Keith's Grandchildren's Education Fund

It is with profound sadness that I share the unexpected passing of my beloved husband Keith. We are all still in a state of shock. Keith passed away from a massive heart attack in the evening on December 22nd, 2024.

Leading up to his passing, he'd had a fantastic day (including 3 hours of Pickleball in the morning). We had a great dinner, watched a movie, and finished by watching Pickleball on the TV before bed, when he unfortunately without any warning signs suffered a heart attack. The family present, EMT, and the doctors at the hospital worked hard and long to revive him but were ultimately unsuccessful.

Our three children, Keith himself, and I truly believed he was in the best health he’d been in the past 20 years. We often spoke about how his newfound passion for pickleball likely would add many years to his life.

Keith and I had just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary, and we were so excited about what the next 30 would bring. We had so many plans for years to come and my heart aches knowing we won’t get to see those dreams together. I miss him and will continue to miss him more than words can express. He is survived by me (his wife Majken), our children Kiana, Kalani, and Trent, and our granddaughter Kira.

That said, Keith was always realistic about his chronological age and had planned to start a 529 college fund for his grandchild[ren]. The idea was to have support ready "just in case he isn’t around" to help them financially. Watching our granddaughter Kira daily brought him so much joy; it reminded him of the happiness our own children brought into our lives.

In honor of Keith, in lieu of flowers or gifts, we kindly ask for donations to the 529 college fund he envisioned as a fitting way to carry forward his legacy and the love he truly had for his family.
