Kellie Koppel's Recovery Fund

Donation protected

During this holiday season, as people reflect on life’s blessings and look for ways to give back, I would like to bring your attention to someone who is dear to my heart.

Kellie Koppel—a woman who has become an inspiration to many, and a close friend and Soul Sister to me—has suffered a life-threatening car accident only months after finally getting on top of an inoperable brain stem tumor!

I have chosen to champion her cause through Go Fund Me because at this time she needs our help. Not only was her car completely totaled but the resulting injuries will require years of attention, and I would like to ensure that there is a fund available to assist in every aspect of her long recovery.

On September 14, Kellie was in a devastating car accident. She was blindly hit on the driver side by an uninsured motorist, which she only just survived (by the Grace of God). It took two firemen almost an hour to rescue her by using the ‘Jaws of Life’ to cut her out of the car. It's truly a miracle that she's alive. According to the surgeons, Kellie was within an inch of her life, literally; her driver's door penetrated into the car and her body by 16 inches!

As you can imagine, her injuries have been extensive; over 20 broken and fractured bones, crushed feet, collapsed lungs and displaced heart. And because of complications of the injuries to her lungs, Kellie has also since endured two bouts of pneumonia.

By the Grace of God, Kellie has had amazing teams of surgeons, working nonstop to put her back together again, and after two months in and out of hospitals, and seven surgeries, she is now recovering in a nursing rehabilitation center for the next few of months until she is able to put weight on her feet and build her strength up.

Her attitude and spirit have been infectious to those of us who have been bedside, fighting with her! She is a true warrior and her commitment to healing has amazed us all. However, because of all of the trauma, her body is still very vulnerable, especially her lungs and heart, making her recovery long and challenging, and her need great.

The impact of this accident has been complete devastation, leaving Kellie literally flat on her back, having to surrender to the love and help of her friends and family. For anyone who knows Kellie well, receiving help is one of the toughest things for her. She is always the one that helps everyone!

This is exactly why I have created this Go Fund Me Page so that everyone who has been touched by this beautiful soul has the opportunity now to pay it forward and be a part of her healing journey!

I thank you for opening your hearts and standing with me in support of this dear soul. I encourage you to please share this with your communities as an ongoing fundraiser.

God Bless You!
