Support Kelsey, Maddox and John

Dear friends and family,

On December 25th Kelsey received a knock on her door shortly before 6pm with the devastating news that John had been in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident that instantly took his life. John was an avid motorcyclist, taking multiple week long trips each year doing what he loved. Kelsey always knew this could happen but also knew that John loved adventure and she would never take that away from him.

John was a loving husband and partner to Kelsey for 12 years and Papa to Maddox and John Mac. He was always up for an adventure and loved nothing more than being outdoors. He worked in a juvenile detention center for many years and most recently was a special education teacher at Danforth Junior High. His positive attitude and hard work ethic will be missed by his students and co-workers.

As you can imagine, this loss has left our family in shock and deep sadness. Many people have asked for a way to help the family, so in effort to ease the financial strain on Kelsey and provide immediate support for her and the kids we are setting this up as a way to show your love and support to them. Your contributions will go directly towards helping Kelsey navigate the challenging road ahead as she adjusts to life without John and being a single-income family.
