Support Kendall's Fight against Brain Tumor Glioblastoma

My big brother Kendall McAlister has an enormous laugh that comes from somewhere deep within his belly and a smile a mile long. He is a gentle soul and has worked hard his whole life. He doesn’t know a stranger. He’d give you the shirt off his back. He’s a father, a grandfather, an animal lover, a car enthusiast, and a sports fan, but most of all, he loves and cares deeply for his family.

On Father’s Day morning, it seemed just like an ordinary day for Kendall. He was at home when he fell several times for no apparent reason. His right side was numb. When his wife Sandy arrived home from church, she found him lying in bed and having trouble walking. He asked to go to the hospital, and that is when they knew something serious had to be wrong; he never wanted to go to any medical facility. They rushed him to the hospital, where the doctors ran a battery of tests. With his wife Sandy of 44 years, his son Kendall Lee Jr, and daughter Hollie by his bedside, they listened as the doctor delivered the devastating news that we all fear and no one ever wants to hear. “You have cancer Glioblastoma, an inoperable brain tumor due to its location.”

Glioblastoma is a malignant tumor that affects the brain or spine. This kind of tumor is aggressive and grows and spreads rapidly. Cancers are graded in ranges 1-4; the higher the grade, the more aggressive the cancer. Glioblastomas are automatically a grade 4. Kendall will require many visits to the hospital for treatments to fight this battle. We ask you to help him fight this battle by contributing what you can to his treatments and hospital bills.
